Achos is built on a simple principle: your music and your data belong to you. This policy explains exactly what we collect — and what we don't.
The short version: Achos runs entirely on your Mac. We do not collect your personal data, we do not track your listening habits, and we do not sell or share your information with third parties. The only external network calls Achos makes are those you explicitly initiate.
Achos is developed and published by Martín Gallardo Arenas, an independent software developer based in Santiago, Chile ("we," "us," or "our"). The Achos macOS application ("App") is available on the Mac App Store.

Achos is a local-first application. We do not collect, store, or transmit:
All analysis performed by Achos — spectral analysis, loudness measurement, format verification — is computed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Achos integrates with the following third-party services. These integrations are entirely optional and are only activated when you explicitly choose to use them.
Google Gemini AI (AI Filemaster & GRaiL features)
When you use the AI Filemaster or GRaiL features, Achos sends audio spectral data and file metadata to the Google Gemini API to generate AI analysis and musical narratives. This data is processed according to Google's Privacy Policy. You control when these features are invoked — they are never triggered automatically. You may provide your own Gemini API key, which is stored locally on your device using macOS Keychain.
Discogs (Collection Integration)
If you connect your Discogs account, Achos uses OAuth 1.0a to authenticate on your behalf. Achos accesses only your collection data (releases, pressings) as needed to display Pressing Intelligence and Vinyl Oracle features. We do not store your Discogs credentials — authentication tokens are stored locally in macOS Keychain. Your use of Discogs is also governed by the Discogs Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store
Purchasing Achos through the Mac App Store is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Apple may collect purchase and usage data per their standard practices. We receive no personally identifiable information from Apple beyond aggregated sales statistics.

You can delete all Achos-related data at any time by uninstalling the application and clearing its associated data through macOS System Settings.
Achos is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Achos after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
